most likely the panel and not repairable. Never heard of the tape cutoff method but doesn't sound legit. :-)

Hello, I have this LG with no Tuner function, ie No analogue or digital channels.
I've tried a factory reset and scan and also shorted out the eprom on mainboard to reset it's data but no difference. There doesn't appear to be any smd fuses to replace and it only has one tuner so could it be the tuner, and has anybody had the fault and fixed it? Don't really want to replace the main board if possible. -
