In the end found a working U72 BIOS set but it needs a clean ME. Tried to transfer my old ME but it did not work out well and machine won't even start. Hopefully somebody can help me cleaning the ME on this one and they can be used for U72 reference then. Thanks!...

Anyone? The U85 BIOS files are posted here, the U72 here unfortunately aren't. Hope one of our guru's can help me out!

Thanks once again Hoaca for your eternal support :-) So I flashed it with your patched bios, it recovered data and again I'm stuck with the password so I guess I will have to flash both chips. Now as far as I know there is not a clean set for U72 listed, my BIOS version. Can you help with that? I've added both of my ec EC and SPI BIOS. Thanks again!...

Or if someone is willing to tell me how it's done, that's fine too. Unfortunately the classic NvramActiveRegn doesnt seem to work..

Need BIOS for Clevo PD50PNP
Hi guys,
Having a hard time finding a (virgin or donor) bios for the PD50PNP. Board part number is: 6-77-PD50PNP0-D02-B#10
Eventually found an EFI file, but it seems encrypted and I don't have the knowledge to convert it to BIN.
I also attatched the customer's BIOS. System boots with this file, howeve the UEFI section somehow got corrupted and it only will boot in legacy mode while UEFI boot options are not even listed.
System locks up when trying to boot from NVMe drive. According to the customer this all started after he got an UBUNTU update. Test drives...

Just checked. No short on SUSP#. Injected 3v but same behaviour: turns on for few seconds and then off. Cpu not getting hot. One thing I noticed is that +5VALW is present all the time and +3VALW is being created as soon as I push the power button. Could this still indicate a bad pch?...

Have you ever solved this mistery? I'm having a quite similar one. Or actually 2 of them, one is also an LA-L181P. They're both Nitro's and before I never had any trouble replacing PCH's. Now for both machines I'm experiencing exactly the same problems you have: board starts for a few seconds, got a power light and then switches off again. No amps, no fan spin. Cleared both ME's and did to both a reflow to no avail. These Nitro boards are just junk.. if it ain't the vcore fets that blow up the cpu, it's the pch. What a waste..

Hi guys,
Surface Pro 4 with corrupted BIOS here. Tried SMDFlea's BIOS with clean ME and works flawlessly but touch aint working so apparently that one has another touch firmware. Not sure in which section I can find and copy paste this in HxD so I need your help. I've my BIOS attached together with the one of SMDFlea.
Thanks in advance!

It's clear to me why you are a Badcaps Legend!! It works man! Many thanks! You basically just have to remove the key string below the autopilot marker right?...

Hi guys,
I'm in need of help with this BIOS:
HP Elitebook 840 g5
s/n: 5CG8415L14
Both ec and main bios are in the attachment. Laptop won't boot with this one. I've flashed the bios of a working 840 g5 and it works, but I'm obviously greeted with the infamous endpoint message. Could somebody fix my bios or post here a bios set with clean me and cleared VSS2 store? According to earlier posts the region for the VVS2 store is the same as with the 840 g6 but unfortunately it isn't.
Thanks in advance!...

Hello Badcaps friends,
I have an Dell Latitude 3340 2-in-1 here with Windows autopilot. Is there yet a way to get rid of this? It's quite a recent model and I can't find any dump.
