Hello, I was trying to fix a bad tab bond when the screen went black. The backlight is on but it only shows black.
When I tap the screen, I get white flashes. I have tested another tcon and that didn't change anything.
I appreciate any help. Thanks!

I see that there are a lot of them on ebay... This may be a dumb question, but do I need all matching numbers, or will any as15g work? -

I tried adjusting it with a screwdriver and from what I could see (on the white screen) it was affecting gamma. I'm glad that I marked its original spot!
Really? Where would I find one of those? I'm not that great with an iron but I'll give it a shot. Is the procedure the same as in this video? Thanks!

Thanks for the help so far! You're probably right about the gamma, the colors look a little posterized now. I'll check on those other things, but in the mean time, I made a video. Please excuse the quality, it was on my phone. I may look strange jiggling the screwdriver around, but I'm just trying to ground it to the case.

Well I just tightened all the screws and taped all the suspect areas where something could ground out, but it's still a white screen.Leave a comment:

Thanks for the reply. I reseated the ribbon cables and nothing changed.
Something weird happened though, I tried to adjust what assume is a potentiometer (visible through the metal frame), and when I grounded the screwdriver against the frame while in contact with the screw, the screen looked perfect for a few seconds before going back to white. Any ideas? I've tried to find a short to ground somewhere in the frame, but I'm not having any luck. I appreciate any help I can get!Leave a comment:

Hello all, first time poster here. The screen is faint white and photo negative. I can see the OSD, but it is also faint. Apparently this is common with this model, as seen here:
