Just for the record, I replaced a couple of Caps in a sx270 today.
This was my first time ever trying to fix a motherboard.
I am very thankful to topcat and all the information I got from reading this forum. (and also to topcat for sending me the parts I needed when radio shack failed me!)
It was a nice feeling taking something that was headed for the dustbin and making it run again!
