Re: VIZIO XVT553SV: orange light logo only
Thanks CapLeaker, is this a part that can be replaced on the mainboard or do I need to get another main board altogether?...

VIZIO XVT553SV: orange light logo only
Hi. I have this Vizio that I already tried changing the power board on, but got the same result. Outside of that, I'm not where to go. The TV, when plugged in, only gives me a orange VIZIO light. Does not turn on by button or remote. Any help on this is much appreciated. I'd love to get this working again....

LG 42LG301-UD :: Horizontal lines, vertically stacked...
Hi Guys!
I have an LG here that had a power supply issue. I changed the power supply and made sure it was the correct part number on the board and correct revision number as well. Now that I'm getting power to the unit, I have these lines on the screen. Not sure exactly what's causing it, but they typically hang out on the right side of the screen, unless I press the menu button; then you will see lines generally across the whole of the display.
Attached are pictures that show both old and new power supply boards as well as display pictures when it is first turned...

Re: SAMSUNG PN50B450B1 - Vertical Section missing, lines
Thanks Tom! I hate to hear that, but I guess I'll just have to keep using it as is. Like I said, After the tv warms up for about 15-30 mins, the large section in the middle shrinks to about the same size as the white line on the far right.
I appreciate all you guys do, not just for me, but everyone here!

Re: A guide to fixing/troubleshooting some common plasma TV problems
@tom66, i did place this in another thread, but i'm going to reply here to follow your reply. I did try to change the t con board and got the same outcome. Tab bonds? what does that look like or what do I need to do to repair it? Thanks for your wisdom! Shared knowledge is so awesome.

SAMSUNG PN50B450B1 - Vertical Section missing, lines
Hi. Attached are pictures of my issue. The large section missing in the middle shrinks after about 30 minutes of watching tv, but is obviously still noticeable since it's smack in the middle of the screen. As you can also see, there are single vertical strands of red, green or blue along the right side along with the white strip.
Thanks for you help and insight....

SONY KDL-32L4000 - Vertical lines stretch slowly
Hi. So I attempted to repair this unit and read up somewhere else on this forum that changing the t-con board should have addressed the issue. Well it didn't. So I decided to post this a second time, but in the right place this time (for greatest results)... Anywho. I power this unit on and get a display, and it takes about 5-15 seconds, but whatever is on the screen, slowly "leaks" vertically. This includes the OSD. Suggestions?
Thanks....

Re: A guide to fixing/troubleshooting some common plasma TV problems
Okay. Here I go with my first "official" post. I have a Sony KDL-32L4000 with I guess a "vertical burn". When the tv first comes on, it's okay, but about 5-7 seconds later, this is what I get. Okay, so the picture will definitely show you what I'm trying to describe. Any takers?...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi. I'm Claude, new here. Not really big on posting in forums, but doing as my email as told me to. I own a computer service and repair company in Baton Rouge, LA and have become known for doing tv repairs after only doing a few. So, I've come to this forum to expand my knowledge on the tv side of things. Thanks for all of your previously posted works and for any future help I may need! I have about 6 tvs waiting to be repaired now.
