Thank you for your help, I'll grab my multimeter and run some tests, then purchase some diodes to replace the damaged ones if the tests reveal they are damaged.

Yeah it was an ebay seller, but he had no negative feedback so I felt it was safe to buy from him. I also just noticed an area of the board that is darker that the rest and surround two components which I believe are diodes.
I sent an image with a red circle around the suspicious area.

Are the components in the encircled area damaged?
Are those components in the encircled area diodes? Can the be replaced in the same manner as capacitors?...

Okay, thank you for your input, Ill consider replacing the rest of the capacitors if I can find all the replacement capacitors at a good enough price.

I am unsure what series the Nichicon capacitors are. The place I bought it from said they were 1500uF 35V New Radial, info on the cap itself says is 105 °C H0912 and below that it says PM(M)

As the title says, im havign some issues with a lcd power supply for a /Phillips 42mf531d/37 Lcd Tv. The tv simply doesn't turn on, its power supply unit would make a chirp each time I plugged the tv in so I assumed that meant that the power supply was damaged, so I unplugged the TV, removed the power supply and inspected it, I found three lumpy CapXon capacitors, so I assumed that those capacitors were the issue, so I ordered replacements for the 3 lumpy, leaking capacitors and replaced them with capacitors of the exact same specifications (1500 uf and 35 volts.) but different brand (Nichicon...
