The line runs from left to right, not vertically, but horizontally. Sounds like a y-buffer problem. I think I'll order the new y-buffer and keep my fingers crossed that it will resolve the problem. Thanks for your help Tom!

Today a horizontal one pixel high black line appeared through the Samsung Plasma TV. My son just replaced the power supply and the tv finally worked but then this line appeared. I called Samsung and they were no help whatsoever; they suggested that I set up a service call with them. Honestly, we just don't have the money at this point in time for an expensive service call and repair. My son thinks it may be a bad y-buffer connector board. I was hoping someone could give me some direction here. My son has a PN50B560T5FXZA Samsung 50" plasma tv which now has a one pixsel high black vertical line going across the screen. We are thinking that's it's a bad y-buffer board. I have found the y-buffer board replacement part on Ebay for $35.00.
