Variac 20 amp advice?
I've been looking online for a 20amp variac and I see Amazon has them for about $100 and Ebay has them for about $70. They all look the same but I'm wondering if there is any real difference between them? They all list brand names that are odd like vevor and others. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. -
Plasma power supply Va and Vs voltages won't adjust...?
Hello, I have a samsung PN51F8500AFXZA with a BN44-00619A power supply. Vs voltage is low at 190v and Va is low at 50v. Turning the adjustments pots has no effect on either voltages at all. Any ideas on the problem? Thanks -
Samsung UN60FH6003FXZA t-con board question
Hello, I have a failed t-con board model# bn96-28944a from a Samsung UN60FH6003FXZA 60" tv. I'm familiar with the failures on the other tcons used in this model and have repaired a number of them but this board is layed out a bit differently and doesn't have the chip that typically fails on the other's. Has anyone ran into a common failure on this board? -

TV power supply testing question
I'm working on the power supply out of my 40" Vizio and I have a question regarding the voltage outputs. At this point with the board removed from the TV and on my bench I have my 5v standby (actually this board has 3). As I understand I need the "power on" feed from the logic board to turn on all the other power outputs on the power supply. Is it possible to jump the 5v bypass pin to the "power on" pin to turn on the power supplies other voltage outputs for testing? Thanks! -
Infrared reball station info needed...?
Hello all, I'm looking into buying a infrared reball station and wanted to get some info. I have an opportunity to buy a nice unit for around $700 but I was wondering if anyone has ever used one of the cheaper ones on ebay like the T-862? If so what are your opinions?
