This is U9 on a vizio main board.
K117S15
pin 1: 0.04V
pin 2: 1.53V
pin 3: 3.32V
Does that seem bad? -

Hey I have a Panasonic model tc-p50c2 does any one know what 3 blinks means on this model? I can't seem to find much results with this problem. -

A bad Y-main board will be the cause of that one bad chip on the buffer. Remove and check all of the mosfets on the y-main, at least one of them will be shorted.Leave a comment:

Vizio 37" VW37L stuck on standby
Hey I'm trying to help a friend of mine get his tv fixed. The TV is stuck on the amber vizio light and when I press the power button nothing happens, it just stays on the amber light and doesn't turn on.
I opened it up, doesn't seem to bee any bulging capacitors. I read that vizio tv's have alot of problems with voltage regulators. I'll check those on the main board later, but while looking on the main board I found this little component burnt. I don't know if I'll be able to replace that little part.
Does anyone know what this part is? And could it be the fault?... -

I would guess most likely that these two problems (vertical lines on screen) and the red hue are being caused by one faultly board. If that were true, would it be the tcon?Leave a comment:

Hey I have a sharp lcd tv thats been acting weird lately. The picture seems like has more red and magenta colors on it. Like everything is tinted mostly near the red. I tried to reset the color settings on the menu but it doesn't change anything. I tried to decrease the red hue on the menu to almost zero and it helps, but its still a little noticable.
Also everytime I turn on the TV I would get random colored lines, but they disappear whenever the picture is moving. I thought it was a panel issue but when I open the main menu, the lines do not affect it and stay under the menu...
