are you refering to the Tcon or the board that has the volume /channel buttons?

the sound is fine yes.
the tv responds to the remote, ie volume, on/off, id assume menu still appears but i cant change any picture settings cause I cant see the menu.
edit: actually that time i got a bit of picture, it was very distorted and purple over everything including menu, but still most of the time no picture just black.Last edited by seifer666; 12-28-2012, 08:46 PM.Leave a comment:

reseating the LVDS has appeared to make no positive or negative effect.
a video of the current state would just be black, it doesnt want to show me anything even distorted picture.Leave a comment:

When its 'running' there is one green LED lit up on the top right of the main board

Tv has been working fine, suddenly while watching it, ive got a bunch of garbled lines through the picture, and through the menus as well.
Stayed like this for awhile, progressively getting more periods of just black, and now its almost constantly black, randomly for a second or so ill get a flash of fully bright picture (with lines through it) backlight appears to be on all the time just from looking in the back of the tv
any ideas on what I should be looking at? I dont see anything up with the power supply but that doesn't mean there isnt.

yeah I don't think you will be able to mess it up, but I guess a note that sometimes you gotta push them really quite hard to get em to lock all the way in.Leave a comment:
