Alrighty, yet another wake-up for this thread. I re-capped my AcBel Rev. B with suitable caps I sourced locally, this was sometime around last Christmas.
Tried to power on the PSU stand-alone on the desk by shorting the power-on line, but no go. Decided to put the whole project to rest and the PSU ended up more or less disassembled in a drawer, but with brand new caps. Then I moved to Germany for work.
Fast forward until last weekend, home for Christmas, I decided to try again. Looked on this thread...

Alright... here goes, my apologies for bringing this thread back to life, but I believe I've got a capacitor problem in my Rev. B AcBel API1PC36 PSU from my G4 MDD.
I've spent the past few days reading over the relevant threads, but this one obviously deals with the Rev. B.
So after reading over this thread and inspecting my unit, there do not seem to be any visibly damaged caps, but the symptoms are all too familiar; power light comes on while button is pressed and fans twitch. Both +5V and +25V standby...
