Re: GA 6vx7 4x
I unplugged it as soon as it gave me the jolt, when I was getting ready to pull the agp card. and even after unplugged it gave me a couple of lesser jolts minutes after.

Re: GA 6vx7 4x
thanks for the info. I love that I could get this resolved the same day that I posted, thanks for the attention.
should I venture to fix the shuttle spacewalker 370, if its not posting and the current flowed through the case and components even after disconnected?

Re: GA 6vx7 4x
really, i've never ordered before.
UHE sounds fine I have 11 caps of 330uF, 5 caps of 1000uF, and 13 caps of 1200uF, all choyo, but only two visibly bad. I also saw one GSC 33uF 16V. and almost missed a choyo 22uF 16V. for now I'm considering changing out all the 330's and the 1000's, since they are the ones which had the bad ones. should I change the 1200'sLast edited by kakayo; 12-25-2005, 12:59 AM.

Re: GA 6vx7 4x
yup mouser, but I found perfectly correct caps for all three models.
O I see, I re-read your original reply, I do need low impedance. and only UHE and UPW have that feature.Last edited by kakayo; 12-25-2005, 12:49 AM.

Re: GA 6vx7 4x
UHE then, I have no idea which I need, I know the basics, but not the feature specifics, low impedance, low esr, no idea if any of those features are really needed.
UHE is low impedance, hi reliability, lead free.Last edited by kakayo; 12-25-2005, 12:44 AM.

GA 6vx7 4x
Still working, just noticed that I have one burst and one bulging CHOYO cap. A 330uF 25V XR 105*C 45A and a 1000uF 10V HR 105*C 35A. Recomendations for new caps. I have a catalogue from which I can choose Vishay, Xicon or Nichicon caps, which company and which model type should I look for. for nichicon I have UVZ, UPW, UHE. the rest are kinda confusing. should I go for low esr, low impedance, lead free?
Any and all info will be greatly appreciated.
I also have a shuttle spacewalker 370, with most caps burst, but I believe that one to be beyond repair, it won't post...
