Re: Samsung UN55D7000FLXA cycles on/off P/S to M/B cable appears to be damaged
The p.n. for this cable ass'y is: BN39-01479A.
A local Samsung parts dist or ASC should be able to get one for you.

Re: Samsung LN46D630M3F ver. SQ01
Thank you, Mr. leaker! When I disconnect CN802 going to the main, BLU_ON (CN803-3) floats high, turning on the back lights.
When the fault is present, B/L is not there under any conditions.
Silly thing has been working fine for the past few hours

Samsung LN46D630M3F ver. SQ01
Hello Group!
works fine for 30-60 min, then backlight flickers briefly then goes until things have cooled down somewhat.
PFC boost voltage is about +392v when it works and drops to about +160v. Set remains on except for B/L.
This set does not use the power supply with the superfluous jumper.
thanks for any suggestions....

Samsung UN55D6900W power supply issue
Hi!
I posted a followup question the BN44-00428A thread but this seems like a better idea.
On applying power, the back light comes on for less than a second then shuts off for 2-3 secs then it all repeats until I pull the plug.
Disconnect CNM801 to main, no change. Disconnect CNL801A,B. No LED flashes but relay cycles.
With reference to the schematic, Vdrv reaches just over 100V when the relay opens.

I Checked for bad solder....

Re: Samsung / Hansol BN44-00428b
I am working on one of these at the moment. It's out of a UN55D6900.
The back light flashes on for less than a second every three or four seconds. Same symptom with the main board disconnected. Without the LEDs, the relay still clicks on and off.
Referring to the schematic, Vdrv gets just over 100V then the relay opens. If I disconnect the LED drive circuit (remove DM851,852), the low voltages are all good and stable.
I can't make any sense out of the protect circuitry. It seems to involve PCS820S.
Samsung doesn't have these...

Re: Lg 60PK550 Problem
Hi folks,
Just thought I would jump in here as I just got a 60PK550 to fix yesterday. The symptoms are very similar but not identical.
Vzb initially is almost 100 v but drops to 15v. All outputs from the PS are correct and stable. Vy and Vsc are correct. There is a low but distinct, clear tone coming from the speakers.
one of the VRs on underside of the main board has 0v on the input but without a diagram, I am shooting in the dark. I don't have the location at the moment but it is marked "eh18a" which makes...

Re: Insignia NS-PDP50HD-08 / Samsung PN50A5nn
The PSU is an LJ44-00145B. It is also marked 50WF3. The error LED is LED8001 and is locate just above the connector for the logic pwb. It is almost the same as a Samsung BN44-00222A.
I was mistaken about the error. 4 flashes is actually Vs. I need to get stronger reading glasses.
I believe this means that the logic board removed the Vs_on signal.

Re: Insignia NS-PDP50HD-08 / Samsung PN50A5nn
Thanks for the help! The situation has gone from bad to worse. Even with all of Y cables disconnected, it will not come on. It just starts up then after a second, it flashes the Vg error. It comes up to 14.8 volts.
I have disconnected both the X-Main and Y-Main so there is no load on the Vg at all. It still shuts off with the same error. I suspecting the SMPS now but don't have spare.

Insignia NS-PDP50HD-08 / Samsung PN50A5nn
This set comes on long enough to display blue screen and OSD then shuts off. The SMPS is one which flashes error codes. (4 flashes-Vg). I'm guessing this could mean over voltage or over current.
I tried to narrow it down by disconnecting stuff and discovered that if I pull any one Y drive connector going to the panel, the set would work fine save the missing part of the picture.
I had a good Y-Main on hand and that didn't make any difference. I have include a couple of pictures. Thanks!...

Re: Samsung PN59D8000FF Panel Problem
I have not seen this in person, I was sent a picture. When I look closely at the black area, I almost swear I can see a crack in the glass....

Samsung PN59D8000FF Panel Problem
I have little doubt that this is unrepairable, but I wonder what sort of failure it might be...
Thanks for your opinions!...

Re: 52LG50 Has Mind of its own
Consider replacing the Front Panel PCB assy. It may be something like: EBR42597903 and usually quite reasonably priced.
been down that road several times....
