Re: Dell E2209WC - Power LED Flash
I appreciate your responses, thanks. I will try and work up the courage to test the capacitors. I did notice that when I disconnect the LCD cable/inverter cables the power/main board seem to function fine, even letting me turn it off and on via the power button. When everything is connected as it should be as soon as the power cable is put in the power LED flashes, if I hit the power button the LED still flashes.
Edit: So when the LCD video cable is plugged in the unit just flashes its LED in a kind of "error mode"...

Re: Dell E2209WC - Power LED Flash
Thank you for the reply, Unfortunately the power button / LED strip plugs into the main board. I have multimeter and soldering equipment.
Edit: Thanks, I will read the posts...Last edited by fuzzystyle; 12-21-2012, 04:04 PM.

Dell E2209WC - Power LED Flash
Hello, first time poster. Would love some help trying to get this monitor working, so glad to find this forum for help with this kind of stuff.
Dell E2209WC, as soon as the power cable is plugged in the Power LED starts to flash on and off. I don't know if my brain is playing tricks on me, but it looks like the backlight of the screen very faintly turns on and then off in sync with the power led, but very hard to notice.
Here are the pictures. I couldn't notice anything too bad. The brown caps on power board seem a tad "bulgy" to me, but my co-worker said they...
