Hallo AYsys, did you find a Solution? Is this the right chip you are trying to read? I found out that there are Two Chips I guess the W25Q256JV can only be the UEFI Chip because of it´s size - 32MB. But this one is not easy to read, because i think the CH341A Programmer will not work because the clamp will not hold - thats my guess - i didn´t try it. But i have the problem, that my Laptop is locked by a supervisor password and i am looking for any solution.

i found this Site because i have a older Laptop Lenovo X1 Yoga Gen4 which is locked with a supervisor password. I try to find out, ho i can solve this problem and found this site. Now I know that this is not simple to solve, but i understand, that i need to rewrite the Bios/UEFI Chip. I read so many post and articles and I thought - I can do this. Now i ordered a CH341A USB-Programm-Kit. Now i found out - as I opened my Laptop and found two possible chips, that the "normal" one (SOP8) is not the one with the BIOS.
