Well I was looking over the pictures of your Vizio and I see many similarities to my 26 inch VIZIO.
I may eventually start a thread about that tv alone but right now I just wanted to thank you for all the efforts and information you posted because you've given me some fantastic ideas on what to test next that I hadn't thought of before.
I'm not trying to hijack your thread at all if that's what you were thinking. I simply meant that this thread is extremely helpful to me...

Hi all. This is technically my second post as I made my first one in a thread that was helpful to me in troubleshooting TV issues I'm having.
Anyway, I'm Northern Virginia (practically Washington DC) and am 23 miles away from the nations capitol.
I've always had a curiosity about electronics, how they worked. Even as a kid I would take apart "junk electronics" that my dad would give me (he had a small electonics store back then and got some cheap "Trade In' equipment from customers...

Please keep this thread going as I'm in more or less in the same boat with OP. VIZIO 26" with not picture, left it on and eventually the picture would come on.
Finally, that trick stopped working and now I have a VIZIO that has no picture or light from the lamps. The Orange logo is on when the tv is powered down and turns white when powered up (this is normal for this tv).
I check almost all of the regular suspects in regards to bad caps (I'm wondering if maybe there is a bad cap that didn't...
