    thank you for that, i will find one and purchase it, i just spoke at length with tv repair shops across city, they all want around 200 to fix and want 100 just to look at it, not cool.

    if i get parts as we go along, can you guys help me fix it? I have basic tools, i even have soldering gun and solder.

    it very may well be a star that i need, this tv is pissing me off, lol. i know the people on here are very good at what they do.the tv model # is 42PFL5432D/37
    As soon as i can figure out a way to get the back of the tv off i will put up pics, how much are these items to purchase to make a repair, better yet, since it makes the chirping noise, determining the exact location when the back of tv is off should not be difficult, correct? couldnt i just throw it in the back seat and go to an electronic...

    I am new to all of this and only carry a basic knowledge of electronics, i need help, please you guys are like genuises. So i have a 42 inch philips lcd tv that when plugged in makes a chirping sound from the left rear of tv (facing back of tv) and when i unplug it it kinda dies away it doesnt just stop immediately, anyways i tried to take the back off but apparently its attached to the base and i need a allen key, which i dont have so i cant post pics yet but i was hoping for some insight into what it could possibly be, over the past few weeks its been kinda turning on and off when it feels like...
