Thank you for schematic, I solved my laptop, it was an shorted capacitor on 19v.
P.S. Those small (soldered) jumpers on board were very helpful....

Hello from Romania. I have problems with the same power supply in an UE40ES5800. When I apply power, i hear a buzzing noise in power supply, and the stand-up led blinks twice, and then stop buzzing (with solid red led). After that, this cycle repeats....
The LEDs connector gets 5-6 volts on left and ZERO on right, and goes down to zero both after.
I think the power supply is broken, but i ask you for help.
What voltage must be on led connector (left and right) at power up (with and without LEDs connected?...Leave a comment:

The card was fried (some memoryes were short-circuited), so after i get them down from the board, i did made some tests ..
I put Clevo bios on it and is recognized by name in my notebook bios correctly. Windows also recognized it correctly and tryed to install a driver. But after that, other memoryes fried too (memory voltage was zero again) and the card was not detected
So, my opinion is: a Dell (Alienware) cards works in P170EM, but with a Clevo BIOS (i did not tested it with Dell bios).

I got a Dell GTX675m from a friend, but is not detected in BIOS, it says at VGA : N/A (with the GTX970m it says EMPTY).
I know that a lot of people says that Dell video cards do not work in Clevo notebook, but why? Is it hardware or the vBIOS? In pictures, the two boards (Clevo and Dell) looks the same to me.
I can desolder and reprogram the vBIOS chip with Clevo BIOS, but is hard to do this and I need to know if this is the only solution, that someone did it and it worked...

Hello from Romania.
I have an old Multicom (Clevo) P170EM, with Prema BIOS P150EM_17_11_PM_v2 (from old times, when it was free on internet). By the way, i still have this bios available for someone who wants it.
I buyied an Clevo GTX970m 6GB MXM video card to upgrade my dead card, but I cannot make it to function properly in my notebook. I understand that I need a special Prema vBIOS to make it work on my notebook.
So, i ask anyone who has this vBIOS on his computer (or can save it from an working card in a laptop) to help sending it to me.
Any ideas are welcome.

I didn't changed yet the Rubycon's on the main supply. I changed only the capacitors on 5V output stand-by line and the 400V main capacitor with some standard Nichicon capacitors. I cannot tell for sure because i reassembled the TV, but, if it is important, i can disassemble it again and check them.Leave a comment:

I came with news. I buyed a new control board (or that's i was told) from ebay and i get to another weird thing: when i power the TV from the power supply's switch for the first time it stays in the same status like before (orange led on, and the rest of the TV in stand-by, and with some audible whistle from the power supply like an lower frequency than normal). Did you try to change the two 100uf/16v "(in)famous" capacitors from the processor board?

P.S. I'm fighting with mine (it stays always in stand-by, orange LED on), i replaced and checked all parts according to forum tips. I can bring it up only with one resistor of 2K2 between 5V (std-by) and the power supply's stand-by controll pin.If i do that, LED come green, and TV works normal (with the resistor still connected) until i try to shut it down by remote or button panel.
