Re: Akai PDP4295 color only when using comp1 input



Thanks for the info i performed the factory rest and that fixed it .

Can anybody tell me what would cause my plasma to only have color when i use the componet input but when i use the cable input its in black and white.If i use the input componet 1 or 2 the picture is perfect every other input is in black & white . Most of the boards in this unit are MFG by sony. Any suggestions would be very helpful!

I have a Akai plasma pdp4295ed This was a non working tv when i picked it up ,upon opening the back panel up i noticed that all the big caps on the power supply were buldging and showing signs of being bad so i replaced them all . I went ahead and powered up the tv and every thing looked ok ,The menu came up with a blue back round and the tv started searching for a signal. I did not have anything hooked up to the tv so i shut it down and grabbed a dvd player which i hooked up thru the componets 1 input after powering the tv on it looked great a perfect picture great color nice and sharp.
