Thanks for the information, I assumed you could expose the chip without dismantling the laptop which I assume you have to do in removing the board to unsolder the chip and just use the scissor clip to read the BIOS that way. This is a longer process that I thought, I'll post on here again as soon as I can do that. Unfortunately last year I misplaced my soldering station after a move and don't have a great setup for working on stuff at the moment.
Again, thanks a lot I might've made a huge mistake otherwise and rushed through the process...

Serial number on the Getac label is cut out/removed but there are 2 others: 2508-504058 & RF739B0396
number under the Data matrix code: 2428628A0002
