  • Re: Zv6000 PPP017L Powersupply

I understand the potential between the points, is not used, I just was troubleshooting and seeing if anyone had readings of their own. I didn't think laptops had a standby voltage, or did the conversions internally.

I replaced the caps and have the same output voltages, looking under some of the glue it looks like I have some cooked parts. New brick it is.

Also no the laptop doesn't work with it, and the battery I can't check, due to it being low/off.

Same readings along the laptop, which is why I pulled the PS apart, the laptop charging light flicks on and off 2 times a second.
    It's a zv6000 and I've re-soldered the jack to make sure that wasn't it.
I just figured it flicked off and on due to the voltage tripping a circuit and the circuit resetting due to bad voltage.
I don't know why the standby voltage would be 6.2 or 13, the laptop it's self is rated for 18.4v at 4.5 amps.
I've looked across the inter-tubes and it's dump trucks of knowledge for info on this, but...

  • Zv6000 PPP017L Powersupply

I have a HP Zv6000 PPP017L Power-supply, I was wondering if anyone else had one (or a 374427-002, 375117-001, 375126-001, 375143-001, 378768-001, 394208-001, 394903-001, EA350A#ABA, EA350A, HSTNN-HA01, OW135F13, PA-1121-12HD. ) that they could check voltages on. Taking it apart I read Ground at 0, Neutral at 6.2 volts, and V+ at 19.2 volts. Positive to neutral I read 13v. I figure the Powersupply is VERY borked, but am not sure. The laptop being a freebie I'm not sure it works at all, so I want to see others results before I drop cash on a new brick.

  • Re: Replace LCD module on Sony Monitor

I swapped a AUO M190EN05 with a AUO M190EN03 I want to say, and they were pin compatible, HOWEVER, irregardless of the size they state in the spec sheet, the "Casing" (what covers the screen, plexiglass, diffusment sheets) is NOT included, and IS larger then stated, sometimes it's the same size as what you have, but the only way to be sure of ACTUAL size is physical measurement.

    Good luck!

  • Re: Mag Innovision LT716S 700P lasts 2 sec on and then it goes off

You said you recapped? Did you make sure the polarity of the capacitors was correct? For my mag, I want to say I replaced all 6 of the big ones with 470uF and the farthest right one with 220.

You may also need to replace C10 C11 with 100uF 25V.

The fuse could also be bad, lower left, the white thing.

sixpence one of your ccft/ccfl might've burn out. If one goes, sometimes it'll cut power to all of them.

    HP vs19e

Went dead, opened her up, saw this.

Replaced the Crapxcons 1000uf 10vs with 10ZLH1000M8x16s and it works like a charm

HP vs17es use the same power supply and board, if I remember right....

  • Re: Mag LT916s Model 900p 19" LCD dropping like flies

Low voltage kills the cap quicker, but if it kills it instantly you'd know.

The mag does use the same boards, the caps are guaranteed crap. Replace all over 200 IMO.

    grats on making it work!

phubar don't use crap from rat shack unless you just want to do it over later and possibly kill the board. To order from digikey use caps from this thread.

I got a capacitance meter, you can get one from sears for like $20, a cheapy but it'd work, if it goes off the scale it's better then nothing, but an ESR meter is really the only way to check if they are good, or replace with new.

    Caps are low ESR
Don't need to be the same size, but do need to be higher votage or equal, and if they are close to one another be careful about width. It's been a year since I fixed mine and I gave it to a friend for Christmas, Still going strong today.

I actually fixed on of these by replacing the 6 470 caps and the 219 (220uf ?) cap, first recap job I did, with the exact same symptoms. Running fine 24/7 8 months later.

    Tested capacitance on the 470s?

  • Re: Samsung 193S Model Code GY19VSSB

Yea, I checked across lines for voltage before I did any swapping, which is really the way I found out it was that specific part that was the problem! No continuity across prongs 1/6 or something like that where all the other parts on the board did have continuity across those points.

As for the new board yea, I was afraid of that, I set a e-bay search for 193s and 152n, as well as the part number for the board its self; I'll have to set one for the other two monitors.

Thanks for the reply, I didn't even think...

  • Samsung 193S Model Code GY19VSSB

I have a Samsung 193S which has a problem with the inverter transformer (I assume it's an inverter transformer) part number SPI 8TT00006. I know it's what's causing the problem because I initially moved the part from one section to another and that other section I moved it to failed to light up.

Picture included below, as you can see on the right I had marked one light with an x where I thought the light was bad, but when swapping the lights the light in that port was bad. So I swapped the black SPI 8TT00006's and sure enough the next light failed on top right where I swapped the...
