  • Re: Toshiba 42LX196 3 Red Blinks

Well I repair the IC but it didn't work at first ... But when I held the power down for some time and then released and then tried to turn it back on again it would light right up with no problems and will continue to work flawlessly .. But if I remove the power and plug it back in again the system automatically restarts and give me the 3 blinks but when I hold the power it works fine and never shows a fault after that ??

I remounted everything and tried turning it on and the LED turns from red to green but then nothing happens and when I try turning it off it does nothing but stay green... I did some searching and found nothing wrong on the board I could see..I did some testing and found that the main board was not fully turning on because I override the inverter board and that's works fine but...

  • Series choices

I have to buy some new caps soon here but I am lost in what to get.... I went back into the forum and read what caps to go with and what series to use .. But I seem to find any of those series on mouser and some caps I can get low ESR but made by a crap company which is not what I want to do .. So I looked up alternative companies but come up with only General purpose no low ESR and I am trying to stick with one company so I don't get rape with shipping ... Can anyone point me in the right directions please ??????

Here are some of the caps I need

    Capacitors

I am rebuilding one of my boards and there are really small caps of 10uf -25v/22uf -25 ... I was checking them out today and noticed that alot of them had rusty color residue under each of them and let me guess I have to replace them too because they are leaking ??? If this true them I will be buying over 100 Capacitors for a single t.v.....

  • Akai lct3201ad lcd

Today I picked up a beautiful AKAI LCT3201AD LCD tv but the problem is that the unit does not work... So I opened the unit up and found a crap load of Decon Caps blowing up.. I want to repair this unit but not sure if it's really worth fixing ??? There are real small caps(not the SMD caps) that look all good but should they be replaced or I should be good using them consider that I am replacing the rest of them ???
Would you guys rebuild the board or buy a used one off ebay ????

The main board pictured below (Not my board but a pic used for representation ) that I have has over...
