Dear Bill, I need your help. I read a post where you were helping someone with the problems they were having with an Olevia TV. I also have similar problems with same brand TV. I have some questions that I feel you might have the answer. Can you please do me a favor and read my post title. "Olevia 242-T11 No Picture, No sound, No Back Lights. I hope you have the time to help me out.
Sincerely, Chuda33

Re: Olevia 242-T11 No Picture no Sound No back lights
With the wire removed from the socket and the 1K resistor connected to the PS_ON pin I read 3.2634 volts. once I connect the wire in the socket again, I get 1.8147 again. What does that mean? can you also tell me how much voltage should be going to the T CON board? Sorry that I am asking so many questions, but I am really new at this.
Thanks

Re: Olevia 242-T11 No Picture no Sound No back lights
What do you suggest I do next. I think that the problem is that I am not getting any voltage in the blue wire corresponding to the B 0n out of the power supply. Should I replace the capacitors in the power supply. They don't look damaged, but I have also read that sometimes they don't show damaged but they are shorted internally.
can you tell me which component should be supplying the power to the following Pins, and what the normal output should be.
Blue Wire B On
Yellow Wire BRI
Brown wire...

Re: Olevia 242-T11 No Picture no Sound No back lights
Hello everyone. I was out, but I am back. I want to thank everyone for all your help.
Here are the readings I took from each of the voltage regulators:
U18 Model# 1084
Pin 1 = 2.0509
Pin 2 = 3.2976
Pin 3 = 4.9340
U48 Model# 1084 ( Adjustable, I think)
Pin1 = 0.0275
Pin2 = 1.2804
Pin3 = 3.3220
U10 Model# 1084 (Adjustable, I think)
Pin1 = 0.2509
Pin2 = 1.5032
Pin3 = 3.3215
U9 Model#1084...

Re: Olevia 242-T11 No Picture no Sound No back lights
Thank you all. I will take better pictures of the boards and post them later today. About the regulators, I have tested them and they all seem to be OK. but I will test them again. Do you think that this might be the reason why I don't get voltage in the B On, and BRI Pins of the CNS1 of the power supply.
Thanks

Re: Olevia 242-T11 No Picture no Sound No back lights
Yes, I checked all connections.
One more thing, using a jumper wire, I was able to feed five volts to the blue wire and guess what, the back lights turned on. However there is sort of a busing noise coming from one of the inverter boards, the Slave to be more specific. I don't know if it is because the voltage is to high, or the current, or simple is the wrong voltage that should be coming from this out put. In any case, I think that this discards the Inverter boards being the problem.
Thanks for your he...
