I have some BIOS locked L14 Gen1 and some L490 laptops from a non-profit association that refurbishs laptops for people in need. I wanted to fix the problem for them.

My plan was to
1) desolder the flash chip
2) re-program it with a stock BIOS image
3) password should be gone

I'm currently failing getting a raw BIOS dump (just having an exe or iso file). That's how I came here.
