Out of Warranty
I have this same laptop and during a Windows Firmware update it got BRICKED. Only thing it does now is the Power Button light comes on and is a white light. Nothing else happens. Have done the power drain and all. I have since found that it might be flash programmed using a CH341A programmer which I have obtained. I see the 2 chips you show in your post but not sure if either or which one is the actual BIOS Chip. Can someone please point me in the right direction. From what I have been reading it should be a chip with WINBOND on...Leave a comment:

Hello Everyone
Hope I am doing this right. As a kid I become interested in electronics when I stuck what i now know as a a small coil into a wall socket and it zapped and melted. Also was the kid the neighbors called when the vertical roll on the TV got bad or needed to hook up a new rotary dial phone. Yeah, me is old now. Joined the Army just to get into Electronics and got a job as a Electronics Instrument Repairman which later become a Calibration and Repair Tech for all the Army's Test, Measurement & Diagnostics Equipment (TMDE or PMEL if you know Air Force lingo)....Leave a comment:
