Gooday ,
I purchased a YZ variable voltage (2-2,000V) leakage tester. It did not come with any useful charts.
I am trying to find a suitable reference chart that states the leakage in Milli-amps depending on type, uf and voltage .
I would be grateful if anybody would inform me .
Thanks ,......................Alan

Electrolytic leakage tester
I had one posted from overseas .YZ brand , bench type and about 7lb . tested it and found it Quite accurate .It will test to 2KV or down to 2V .the manual is in Chinese , but, the computer translated it (most of it). The clever thing also will test the voltage rating of a electrolytic without damaging it .I am not to sure how it does that but it worked . It also tests voltage regulators , diodes and transistors .
The wiring is a bit rats-nest, No earth on the high voltage and mains transformer , 2,000V passing through ordinary hook up wire!!! , It is not double- insulated . It needs a...

How about you discovering the tools of 2013 ? before stating that the manufactures are all dead. Thank you for your helpful reply....................Alan

ESR and V tester
Good day.
Any body know of a good cheap ESR meter and electrolytic voltage tester combined (bench type).
I found one on the net ,but, forget its location . It was about 130 $.
Any info would be appreciated as I am finding more and more electrical stuff are faulting mainly due to the low quality electrolyte's in them .
Unless i am wrong , I have noticed the capacity is usually lower that what is written on them.,........................Thanks,..Alan

Re: How to tell if speakers are blown
If the speakers sound OK they are OK , the ears are the final judge .
All speakers are designed to take overloads for short times .
You bugger them if they are overloaded for a long time or consistently...........................Alan
