ok so never mind my post above because i found a patched version for the x1 carbon gen 5 that i could download. i'm working on gen 6 now.
i was having trouble with autopatch always having a problem with my dumps. i've been using ch341 programmer on linux. it was writing everything fine, but none of the dumps would patch.
i've been trying to figure out how to clean the me region, and had to switch back to windows, and in the process, dumped this x1 carbon gen 6 with asprogrammer. autopatcher patched it without complaining. i'm writing it to the patient right now.

Ok, so I have Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 5
type: 20K4-01XUS
Serial PF-0VQQ8V
i've been searching this thread for a patched version and the only one i found the link said invalid file or something.
i've been using the patched bios posted to clear supervisor passwords on two dozen laptops now.
for some reason, autopatch fails with bad bin file every attempt. but i can dump the original bios, program the patched version (downloaded from this thread), remove the password, reprogram the original dump, then celebrate.
i was also able to use...Leave a comment:
