    Hi peste,

    That is the file I posted above after I physically removed and read the MX25 chip, that is the file that I posted earlier. Maybe I posted too much information that made it confusing. The file that I tried from the other thread was apparently from the same revision of motherboard which is why I tried it when my own edit attempt didn't work. They were both 8MB files, I only looked in the area of what I thought was the password, and spot checked a few other places to check they looked similar and from the same chip and firmware type but apparently I missed something which is...

    A1398 efi password.

    Board : 820-00138-A

    I've attempted to delete the bios/efi password for a mabook Pro 15" that I bought from a fellow who sold me some programming books. It was in working condition but unable to be unlocked because he couldn't remember the passwords. Unfortunately, after flashing the BIOS with my attempt to remove the EFI password, all I get is fans spinning, black screen, seems like the EFI is not operational. Touch pad becomes active (haptic feedback) but external USB keyboard is not and only the power button on the...

  • Hi, I am a full time electronics service technician in NSW Australia. I have been aware of this forum for a long time, but only now have I dipped my feet in.
