This utility is for older models, I have an e6400 it works on it but not on the e6420.
I believe it works on all Dell models prior to the i3, i5 and i7 motherboards....

is there a way to edit the service tag for e6420?
I had to replace the motherboard with a used one as the original got water spilled on it and wasn't warranty-able. The used motherboard has obviously a different service tag than the one at the bottom of the laptop.
