Biggest score I landed was a friend spotted a Harmon Kardon Citation II amp at the curb and gave it to me. I never got 'round to putting it to use and decided to sell it at a hamfest. I hadn't even carried it from the car to the card table when someone spotted me with it, ran up, and waved an inordinately thick stack of cash at me for it.
Next score I've still got. I spotted an Alesis QS8.1 on craigslist for an absurdly low price. I actually contacted the seller to ask if she'd MEANT to advertise it for that price and she had. Her ex had left it with her, it wasn't powering on, and...

Greetings and Felicitations! Or maybe G'daye! Name's Bruce. As you might surmise from the username, I've been immersed in things digital since the good ol' 8-bit days. My first computer was a Heathkit H89, which still lives (badly in need of attention (I hate tantalum capacitors!)) in my garage. I've lived in and around high tech my entire life. My dad talked APL and FORTRAN to mainframes for NASA most of his career, and my granddad and his sawed off little Canadian radar genius buddy pretty much created high fidelity back in the 1940s - think very complicated output transformers killing crossover...Leave a comment:
