Got the new board and it worked fine, but now I need new tape to replace the old dried up tape. Will any aluminum sticky tape do or is it something special?...

The monitor started turning off when the computer was idle, like it normally would, but not turning back on. Restarting and giving it some time would allow it to turn on again.

Now it does not turn on, no backlight, just a flashing blue power light. Normally when it is on the light is solid blue, or amber when in power saving mode. It is almost 5 years old at this point.

There is at least one bad cap on the board. I don't have a multimeter or soldering iron/supplies, so I could buy what is needed and attempt to replace them, or grab a new board for $25 off of ebay....
