Thanks stj for your reply.
Great news 😊
I am a new comer to repairing and at first sight the FET didn't look like it has anything printed on it. However, with some bright light and careful placement of the most powerful magnifying glass I have, it was possible to read the component number.
The number was W2K with 19 positioned vertically at the end and therefore looks like it is a 2N7002K.
Thanks to everyone that viewed,

Hitachi drill charger UC18YKL
Hi,
I am fixing the charger (UC18YKL) for a Hitachi battery drill (DV18DCL2) but, as it charges Lithium batteries, I need to know the correct replacement device for the blown (smd) FET2.
As I have spent many hours trying to find a schematic for this DV18DCL2 charger without any luck, does anyone know where I can get one or a parts list?
Thanks in advance for any help,

Hi,
My name is Rob and I am a volunteer at several Repair Cafes in the UK.
I joined them because, for several years, I wanted to help people by repairing things but I couldn't come up with a business plan that I was happy with. That was until someone mentioned Repair Cafes. It ticked all the boxes. The charity status and reception staff set expectations so that I can concentrate on fixing things and bringing delight to people's faces.
By trade, I am trained electronics designer who later specialised in software development.
