Tried method 1 again and again -- still after flashing original BIOS on boot a password is asked.
Tried method 3 again and again -- so far no success in right timing.
Note on method 3:
Tried to shunt after backlight on (no Lenovo logo, probably in BIOS set fastboot) with tapping F1 key - the boot process either "paused" or might give an error and reboot, or might play melody (couple of times), or password input requested. Watched YouTube videos with the procedure, I see that success shunt often happens on second-third-fourth try but in my case no luck so far....Leave a comment:

Hello,
Could you clarify on information in original post regading Mec1663?
Mec1663 Dmi start from 0x00
Pwd 0x300 - 0x34F replace with FF
Do I understand correctly that you utilized JTAG to remove the password? Can you describe the procedure?
I wonder if FT232H with openOCD can be used for such approach to remove supervisor password.
I luck exprience in this field and looking if inexpencive JTAG adapter can be used in such situation.
A consultation with ChatGPT indicates that perhaps it would not work as only SWD...Leave a comment:

Hi,
you can use any of 25Q128BV or 25Q128FV they share same chip ID as your IC 25Q128JVSQ (see page 21).
Or you can add your chip into list of supported chips yourself. Just edit file chiplist.xml,
find line
Code:<W25Q128FV id="EF4018" page="256" size="16777216"/>
Code:<W25Q128JV id="EF4018" page="256" size="16777216"/>
Now try identify chip in AsProgrammer and you will see your chip in the list.

One of the devices is a Lenovo T480s laptop with UEFI Supervisor laptop. I did my research on internet for possible methods and couple of them lead to BadCaps forum.

Hello from Canada,
a tragic event of a death of son of my friend lead me to this website. My friend was left with a few electronic devices after his son's death which he would like to recover and put to good use.
One of these devices is Lenovo T480s laptop with UEFI supervisor password. I did my research how it can be removed/disabled and some information brought me to BadCaps forum.
A little bit about myself: in early childhood my father suggested to build a small radio receiver in size of match box, since then electronics became a passion of my life, but...Leave a comment:
