Re: Samsung LED TV UE40C5100QWXXU
Hi Tom,
Yep that's whats happening here I would guess. Under rectified mains the cap would of got pritty pissed off. Was a lump burnt out the side of it. I found this 40 samsung on Gumtree locally. Gumtree has some good bargains at times. Most tv repair companies round here want silly money just to take the back off these days. So I get quite a few good bargains....

Re: Samsung LED TV UE40C5100QWXXU
It blew both ceramic 6.3 fuses in the primary. Replacing the fuses and cap and tv is running fine again. Of course powering up a very burnt cap can load the circuit much more. I suspect it went dead short in reality. I would agree with you 8.5k would not take the fuse out on its own as there would just not be enough current drawn. I have edited the post to be alittle clearer.
Alls working well now so alls good....Last edited by dynomo; 02-04-2013, 02:20 PM.

Re: Samsung LED TV UE40C5100QWXXU
I have found the problem. Found 8.5k ohms across bridge rectifier + - which was incorrect. After some investigation found CP818 / 100pf at 1KV burnt on the sideLast edited by dynomo; 02-04-2013, 02:20 PM.
