Tip for anyone buying the CH341A mini programmer and hoping to use the claw to avoid soldering: It isn't gonna work. Chip is too low profile and the claw will slip off and/or not get a good enough connection. Tried to de-solder it but just ended up fucking it up royally, now the fix is a repair in itself. We live and we learn, but I do wanna warn anyone else coming into it.

Can't seem to find it, it'd be helpful if you could give a landmark like a connector to look around if possible.
I did find a WINBOND 25Q80DVSIG, could that be it?
Update: definitely not it, that ones only 1 MB. Will keep looking.

Chip is WINBOND 25Q16JWSIQ. Google said spec sheet said that 2MB is its capacity but I can't find where the summary got that info from. Could be a bad read, using an CH341A and it's my first time doing this. I had difficulty finding how pin 1 lined up with the board and eventually just matched an image of how someone else with the same flasher had it set in there, so if there's any mistake I made it's probably that....

Hello, I am currently working on a Dell G15 5511 with a corrupted bios. I took two dumps and verified the checksums were the same, but the capacity of the chip is too small for any of the above roms (~2MB). Am I doing something wrong? I tried removing write protection, but it said no write protection was on. I am using flashrom on linux, as Windows utilities wouldn't see the flasher.
In case anyone wants to help my dump:
