Yes I have 5volt stand by. I think I am way over my head as I have very limited electronic skills. Worked for Heath Kit for 33 years and built many kits but that is far as my skills takes me....

I do have a cheap meter but watching a you tube site on how to use a meter I think at I am using the right setting. I checked the diode out of the board and the meter reads OL in both directions. I was hoping to be able to identify this diode so I could replace it to see if it was my problem....Leave a comment:

I have a couple of pictures. One with a black arrow showing the location and the diode is on a white piece of paper setting on the heat sink. The other picture is just a close up. Have open diode T2D 93
I have a LG power supply/inverter board in a Vizio model VO320E TV that has an open diode. The only marking is T2D 93 with a line under the 3. Having no back ground in electronics I would like to know if this something that Radio Shack would sell and what would I be asking for? I don't seem to be getting any where by Googleing this part. I could use some help please. Thank you -

I guess I lucked out as nothing happened at all. what would keep it from putting out the high voltage? Could it be a bad lcd screen as the tech. from Vizio said?...Leave a comment:

Should the high voltage(950volts) as mark on the circuit board be coming from the wires coming from the two flat transformers. One wire from each transformer. These wires look to be contacted to the lcd screen. I set my meter on 1000 v even being warned not to but I don't think that I am getting any voltage from these transformers....Leave a comment:

Mr Bill I wish that I had the knowledge to know where to take the reading but I guess I don't. I can't get a reading of 24v any where on the power supply/ inverter board. The voltage from the pins for 5v and 12v read correctly....Leave a comment:

I have a Vizio model vo320e 32inch TV which has no picture, or sound and has a black screen . The Vizio name logo is orange in stand by and white when turned on . The only side button that will respond is the on/off button. When turned on there is a blue lite coming from each board. The blue lite on the power supply/inverter back lite board stays lite longer (several seconds) before going out. The blue lite coming from the main board goes out much quicker. Hi: My name is handy dandy and my only electronically experience is from building Heath kits. I worked for this company for 33years and have build many kits. I don't have an electrical back ground but I enjoy the challenge of fixing anything electrical that has quit working . Things that most people throw away. I just became a member Oct. 10, 2012.
