  • olevia lt37hvs re:pink screen

Hi all out there, got this TV from friend because he did not want to bother fixing it. I have not opened up case as yet.Have no remote so manually turned set on then set to VGA .Can scroll through menu and source ok. I plugged in my laptop and played movie. The attached image is what i am getting.Have tried about everything to try to adjust out the pink but to no avail. Before i attempt anything i thought someone out there would have seen pink screen before .Would greatly appreciate any response....

    Lg 32fs2anb-te

Hi just got this TV as a hand me down but the remote has been lost.
When i push power button on left side of panel the standby light comes on ok but from there there is nothing. On the right side it has (top: menu then ok then volume < >button then pr < >)What does pr mean?. My other tv's with remotes have main power switch and have another switch i can use to turn tv on without remote.I was told tv was working fine but it was in storage for a long time.
Any feedback would be appreciated. If it can only be started with remote i will do a search for availability.

Thanks Budm for the quick reply.Have a Digitech qm1496 and all known good caps i check are within capacitance stated on caps.No sorry do not have esr meter. With the exception of the 150/420v which gives me 137.7 everytime. Do i test ballast caps off board? I have the repair manual and schematics but still trying to get my head round the info.
I will wait for reply before i unsolder ballast caps for testing.
    thank you very much.Max

Hi to all you great people on this forum.
Firstly i turn on monitor and it flashes image then goes to orange.Did not try flashlight trick at this stage.Disassembled monitor and had visual inspection.I noticed high voltage ceramic caps c506 and c523 are burnt and have turned green(should be blue)and all caps looked ok. I ignored this and replaced caps X12 except 150/420v.
Reassembled and whilst connected to my pc turned on and now screen flashes but this time blue light remains constant.Yes i can see image with flashlight.Well i thought i had achieved something ?. Got monitor apart...
