Hi everyone,
I have a Dell Latitude 5430 (Service Tag: 4HK5GK3) that originally had a BIOS password.
There are two BIOS chips on the motherboard. I identified the main chip and successfully read and saved its contents using a CH341A programmer.
Here's what I did:[LIST=1][*]I read and backed up the original BIOS from the main IC.[*]I then erased the chip and flashed a clean BIOS file (no password) from the internet.[*]After installing the chip back into the board, the laptop no longer powers on — only a brief power light when pressing the power button, then it shuts off...
