Suddenly my Philips 47" TV model 47pfl5603d/27 starting acting up. It is about 4 or 5 years old.

I noticed a "fuzzy" noise like static and then the screen fades until it goes black. The sound is still there. Shutting the TV seems to help but the time between the incidents varies greatly.

Based on my limited searching it seems like it could be a power supply issue. Any idea of cost to repair the unit? I am fairly handy but this doesn't seem like something I'd like to try myself.
