i have recently picked up a couple of Sabertooth motherboards that i want to put in "mothballs" for at least a few years. is there any possibility of capacitors going bad through not being used at all? the boards have been tested and put away in their boxes, so they are not connected to any power supply. also, they are in a climate controlled storage area. i no longer plan to ride the constant upgrade merry-go-round. i like this specific board, and want to just have spares for my current build that uses this board. am i being overly optimistic, or is it reasonable to assume that the...

got this board recently, and it is not functional. i am thinking of redoing some caps to possibly revive it. i already have a rig with this exact model of motherboard, and i want to make sure i have a functional replacement when it decides to expire. the only reason for not upgrading to a new board is sentimental. this rig was my first build, and i still use it for web browsing and simple games. i have other rigs for heavy gaming, but would like to keep my first rig around.
