Ron, you seem to be correct about the DMD board. My question is what skill level is needed to replace this board. I'm getting quotes of 250 dollars to replace the board only. This does not include the part cost. I'v already replaced the lamp and I'm getting to the point that the cost is more then what the TV might be worth. But...that being said it is a lot cheaper then tiring to replace with something the same size.

Yes I did look at your video, you make it look easy! I also got my service manual to see if there were any other items I might need to do.(which did not show anything on how to clean the glass or convex mirror) On a scale from 1 to 10, how hard would this be for someone that has never done it?...

Hello. New to the site. I need help with my picture on my DLP. Red light for lamp came on recently and I ordered it and changed it. This did not fix all my problems. The picture was getting "ghost spots" or I will call it "sunburn or hot spots" mostly on bright images, sort of like a halo around bright images. The worst "sunburn spots" seem to be on people's faces when watching a program, the foreheads and cheeks have very bright areas.
