  • AC Voltage Stabilization

    Hi all
Here is a good one for all the BRAINY people on this forum.
Is there a simple way ie. connecting ONLY a capacitor across mains that will help to stabilize very short dips.
I ask this because we operate a pressure pump system at the lodge and our power here in Mozambique is very iffy with regular point something second dips.
Being in the middle of Africa I thought I could use a RUN cap from a motor to help.

    ANY IDEAS PLEASE
    Regards

  • Kenwood Chef A901 Series

    Hi All
Have just replaced the Caps and Triac on this machine,
I now have the problem that if I lay the machine on its side the speed is fine, but, when I stand it vertically the speed goes wonky.
I have a fair amount of lateral play on the motor, could this be affecting the speed control, governor, I have looked for a parts layout on the web to see if I could use washwers to stabilise the shaft but alas can find none, ANY IDEAS anyone ANY help will be appreciated
    Regards to all

    Hi All
    New guy from Mozambique,
MAN! I wish I had a Pinch of the Knowlwdge floating around this forum, Good going Guys.
I have a Benq Q7T3 which has been good for years, now it has died a quiet death.
No lights no nothing, have done a cursory test of trannies and such, resoldered all joints, did not remove solder just resoldered and nothing happens.
I am a hobbyest and don't know much, am also 1000Km from civilization and batle to get spares quickly, have to wait till I go go to South Africa...
