    Got hopefully a better pic with an iPhone. But I'm assuming you meant the chip above the large cap. That's how it is and I have not touched it. For the most part that side has been left alone....

    Apologies for not attaching photos earlier, I was hoping to get a hold of a better camera before posting pics but I'll just have to make do with a phone's camera just to have something.

    The cooked area of the first closeup rear pic was how the unit was when it was opened up. Other than the capacitors in the area all the other components were working prior to the 2nd round of repairs. The missing/open traces are the negative leads of the capacitors to ground. I had to solder from the topside.

    Hello all! My name is Chris, been lurking here for awhile for tips, tricks, and techniques.
