Sadly, no. I still have the set sitting disassembled in my family room.
I tried a new T-con board from ebay, and it didn't help. I tried new ribbon cables, and no change. So far, the best I've gotten is for all but about a 1 inch strip of the screen to work, if I hold the cables in just the right way.
I'm thinking it's a lost cause.

Suspect T-Con board or ribbons
Hi everybody!
I picked up a Sanyo DP42849 LCD tv at a thrift store for $20 as it was not working properly. I figured that for that price, I could likely part it out if I couldn't get it working... But I need a TV for my basement, so I want to fix it.
The initial problem was that the left half of the screen worked perfectly and the right half stayed black. The backlights work and the panel is not cracked.
