Hello, I have been lurking the forums for a few hours and just wanted to make sure my understanding of the process is correct. From what I can tell, none of the HP flash tools will work for this laptop (645 G9), and the BIOS must be manually edited by someone. From my understanding you cannot just remove the password from the BIOS and reflash it, the entire DMI must be erased. I believe only the SPI ROM chip is flashed, and the EC ROM chip is not touched. Hello, came here to learn how to remove a BIOS password on an HP Elitebook 645 G9. I have a weird motherboard revision where the SPI ROM chip is in a socket so the chip isn't actually soldered in.
