Re: Sony Wega TV kdf 42e655 possible Ballast Issue.
Lamp Was replaced, and all the Fans Were Cleaned with compressed Air. The Issues Ended Up being a Busted and old Lamp & dirty Fans. After That was completed The unit was re-assembled and tested For accuracy. System Works as It should. I Appreciate all the Valuable Help I received from Tom66!!! You are a Gem! Thanks Bro and I hope I can bring some insight to you or anyone else on This site about issues In the future.

Re: Sony Wega TV kdf 42e655 possible Ballast Issue.
I have now replaced the lamp and re-assembled the TV according to the service manual. now that i put everything back together, the TV is giving me a different error code. it is now giving 4 blinks. This apparently means that either the fan is not getting power or the fan connector is not seated properly, the temp is too high or the connector on the H3-H4 sensor board is not seated properly. I have checked & rechecked the fan over and over. no issues with that. and now I have checked the G2 board itself and that is seated properly....

Vizio L32 HDTV 10a No power, no standby LEd Nothing.
I am Currently working on a Vizio HDTV that isn't giving me any sort of response. when plugged in. I have no Lights for standby or any form of sound or anything from the set. It seems to not be getting any power. I am assuming that It is the power supply, But I Need to be sure. All other connections and boards look normal. Does anyone have any insight on what This Could be. I Have provided a Picture of the Supply board to the Vizio....

Re: Sony Wega TV kdf 42e655 possible Ballast Issue.
Dont worry, You have been More than helpful & have given me a direction to move in. at least I know that the loose charge I am seeing on the Ballast Is Normal. LOL I am going to have a look at the G1 and G2 boards to see if i see any visual issues.

Re: Sony Wega TV kdf 42e655 possible Ballast Issue.
well the closest I am getting to the codes on this service manual is (ATSC-OVP error 10 times
-No "DTL MODULE 5V " output
(G1 board, G2 board)
- No picture/No sound)
But The LED blinks continuously without delay or pause. I have counted the blinks on the power led & its continuous until it goes back into standby.

If you don't mind looking at this link that I have here that helped me get to this point. it explains what the led blinks mean on the front. I really appreciate your assistance with this, but I just want to be sure that I am reading this correctly.Re: Sony Wega TV kdf 42e655 possible...r /> <br /> If

Re: Sony Wega TV kdf 42e655 possible Ballast Issue.
The when the TV is powered on you get no picture and immediately the power Led blinks continuously and then you get the buzzing from the ballast attempting to light the lamp. I have removed the back cover and can even see a purple charge jumping across the ballast on the inside.
