I also did this process and it worked for me too... only mine went out again 3 days later so I repeated the process only to have the set go out agin in 3 days... I am guessing that it is an issue with the main board?? any thoughts??...

I checked the AC fuse on the power supply board? How do I check the LDO regulator?
The power Supply board is $25-$35 If this is the issue I will just purchase a new one....Leave a comment:

I only have a back lit screen no picture. It looks like when I apply the 3.3V it just backlights the screen...

Update.... I used a jumper and fed 3.3V to the BKON pin and the backlights came on. So is this a power board or main board issue??...Leave a comment:

I am checking the voltages your suggested now. Did the pics I uploaded help you?
If it was a fuse blown does the fuse reset? I have heated the video chip 3 times in an attempt to reseat the chip and each time the TV works but only for a few days then no video. The TV sounds like it powers on and I get a green power on light but I have to hold the power button for 5 seconds to turn it off. If a fuse was blown wouldn't it stop working for good until the fuse was replaced?...Leave a comment:

I checked the LCD with a flashlight and do not see anything.... it looks totally black. also my PWB does not look like your pics?? what is the number on the board by the chip?...Leave a comment:
