Re: WATER infra red TAP !
There is a lmv358 which hardly can be seen from the hole board view pic kind of !
But here is a clear shot of it !...

WATER infra red TAP !
Hi guys, need little help if possible.
I will post a pcb with some weird markings on optocouplers/photocouplers not possible to find. I guess some weird protection design.
PCB itself powers from 2cpr Battery rated 6V, 1.4A.
It has a 2/2-way solenoid cartridge servo controlled valve to be run as soon as infra and photo led catches something and send the current to servo..
Since I have 3 identical taps, 2 are with same burnings/should I say optocoupler.
If you can help me determining which optocoupler should I replace it with would me...

Re: OBH Nordica DC adapter
Please guys, after changing diode 1N 4751, 30v which seems to be shorted, and capacitor 10uF50V,and SCHOTTKY RECTIFIER MBR10200CT.
Board seem to be working and I have tested it, but as I switch it off, i get the same problems once again !!!. (just diode 1N 4751, 30v shorted)
Please I don't know what seems to be causing it. But there has to be a problem somewhere in between. Either transformer, but as far as my knowledge goes, if transformer is bad it's bad and it's not working at all.
Could u please inguide...

Re: OBH Nordica DC adapter
News !
Had a spare 10uF50v, 105 Celsius, signal lamp worked, which was good enough for me, (bad me did not check dc output). I had assembled the adapter and yat bad news, it's not working again !.
I have dismantle the adapter once again and am not getting signal lamp now. !
Maybe my capacitor was bad though it was new !

Re: OBH Nordica DC adapter
Waiting for ESR meter, till then am out of luck testing the capacitor, so will just replace it.
I did however remove before reading the posts, SCHOTTKY RECTIFIER MBR10200CT <red arrow with in the picture>.
By testing it out of the box, result were not good /reason I removed it cause readings with in the board were weird.
I did by the new cause the price is just fine.
By measuring the new one and the old one, I did find it not the same ! so I assume faulty rectifier.
What I notice now is that there is a buzzing...

OBH Nordica DC adapter
OBH NORDICA model: YJS05-2402500D.
Input: 100-240V, 47-63 Hz
Output: 24V DC 2500mA
Just out of nowhere it stopped working. What my knowledge could handle is dismantle of plastic box and measuring the input voltage which is correct 230+- V, fuse is OK, but on the output there is no voltage !
If any of you guru guys could help me to diagnose the DC adapter I would be very grateful.
By the way I have no way of measuring capacitance, have just a regular multi meter! And they all look fine ! visual appearance!...

Re: LG flatron L204ws BLACK SCREEN
I know that with my Dell 17' monitor I had to replace 4 transistor's which seemed to be faulty or not faulty but best to die, also got this from forum, they were first to die with this model, so was wondering maybe same thing, but honestly dont now where to start from and what to measure and when measured what next....???
thanks...

Re: LG flatron L204ws BLACK SCREEN
1st yes they are 927 +/-5 less then 3%,
2nd dont have another at least dont have the exact same have dell 17' it that's going to do the magic
3rd does the test includes the second monitor or should I do the test on LG that;s broken..???? I assume yes since there I will test one by one...thanksLast edited by nguberinic; 03-27-2013, 03:20 PM.

Re: LG flatron L204ws BLACK SCREEN
ok u have point on that, as sad have tested pins as you guided .....same monitor but not same problem.....https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=24460&highlight=LG+flatron+L204ws&page=2
this is only thing I have tested, can get out capacitors but my multimeter can go just up to 200 (μF) thees r higher 1000.....just a cheap multimeter...thanks
Maybe a way to check if tubes r any good.....
Thanks again./...help appreciated !!!Re: LG flatron L204ws BLACK SCREEN

LG flatron L204ws BLACK SCREEN
Thank you all in advance.....
Else what the problem is, power led blue is on and my screen is black (dimmed ???).
I sort of now some of the electronics, have welding tool, etc, have managed to repair my own screen, this one is a friend of mine.....
When looking to a power board where the inverter is everything seems to be ok, I have done some measuremnts and bu following some other threads it seems to be ok....
There are no blown capacitors (at least visualy-which does not mean that they r ok....)
Can you please guide me to what...
