Re: Samsung "BlinkMaster" 206BW Screen Flicker, Requesting cap selection help.
Resolution change/adjusting brightness/ switching input from analog to digital does not change symptom. Power light is on solid like it should be in normal operation.

Re: Samsung "BlinkMaster" 206BW Screen Flicker, Requesting cap selection help.
New problem I initially diagnosed it as bad caps. I replaced all the caps on it and it worked for a bit. Now I get a very fast screen flicker. I rechecked and re soldered all my caps and am still getting the same symptom. How should I proceed? leaving the unit on for a few minutes and it fades out completely and flashes on very dim every 5-10 secs. then after a few more minutes nothing.

Samsung "BlinkMaster" 206BW Screen Flicker, Requesting cap selection help.
I have a Samsung "BlinkMaster" 206bw with flicker of death. I have attached a picture with the caps noted. All are CapXon.
1. 470uf 35v
2. 1000uf 25v
3. 470uf 25v
4. 1uf 50v
5. 22uf 50v
6. 120uf 450v
I am looking at the caps in the attached excel document.
Have I chosen sufficient replacements?
Thanks,
-Chris...

Re: Samsung SM 205BW Screen Flicker, Requesting cap selection help.
I received my new caps today and couldn't wait to fix the monitor. So I pulled out my static/soldering mat and went to town. Only burnt my finger once putting in the new caps lol. Its a good one to the skin went immediately white haha. Got it all back together and plugged in the cables and fired it up and nothing...... in my excitement I forgot to plug the video cable into the computer Works like a charm. No flickering just comes on like it is suppose to. Its back on my wife's desk where it belongs

Re: Samsung SM 205BW Screen Flicker, Requesting cap selection help.
SO I have a parts list going. I was able to find fr,fc,fm for all but the last 2 caps in the list. I found a Panasonic EB cap for the 1uf 50v and the one suggested for the 180uf 450v. I have attached a spreadsheet list with links to the caps. Does it look sufficient?
Thanks,
-Chris...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello fellow fixers. I have been tinkering with electronics since I was a kid. I worked in the industry for a few years about 20 years ago. I stumbled across this site and was excited to find it. Currently I am trying to repair a computer monitor and am trying to brush up on my knowledge of component selection. Its been a long time haha. I will definitely be seeing you all around the forum.

Samsung SM 205BW Screen Flicker, Requesting cap selection help.
I have read the forums and have seen that this is a problem that can be resolved by replacing the capacitors. I have not seen my revision of the circuit board though so I am requesting help in selecting the correct capacitors. In the picture I have the caps numbered. The ones that are bulging are numbered 1 and 2. Here is the information on the caps.
