    I doubt that it would be the surge protector. Most it would do is to lower the input voltage and these are rated to go quite a bit below the 110VAC. I would suggest looking at the 24V from power supply board to inverters. Maybe try hitting a few components with freeze spay (duster can sprayed upside down works well) if you suspect it to be a heat related issue.

    I'm an electronic tech from way back when transisitors were first hitting the scene. Tried the whole TV repair, VCR stuff but cost effectiveness dropped so quickly there was no real value in it, so now I just do it for fun. I am still in electronics working at a contract manufacturer here in Wisconsin. I won't get rich, but can't seem to shake my need for trons.
